Session Cases Bicentenary 1821 – 2021

Commencing in 1821, Session Cases is believed to be the second longest running series of law reports in the Common Law world after only The United States Reports of the US Supreme Court.

These pages celebrate those two hundred years of authoritative law reporting by a series distinguished by two features that determine the series' reliability. First, all reports are written and edited by lawyers in active practice who have rights of audience in the courts whose cases they report. Secondly, the judges whose opinions (judgments) are reported have the opportunity to review and comment on reports of their cases before the report is published.
