Property lawScottish Law Online
Comprehensive set of links to sites bearing on Scottish property law (including conveyancing) and related issues: few of them unfortunately providing much by way of substantive legal content; for links to landlord/tenant/housing law sites (again with little in the way of reliable substantive content) go to www.scottishlaw.org.uk/lawscotland/landlord.html. Gary Webster
Nicely designed site focusing on English property law, including tenancy issues: also has useful links to other English law resources. The Property Standardisation GroupThis group, comprising four of Scotland’s big legal firms, aims to standardise documentation commonly used in property transactions to save time and manage risk. To that end, this innovative site offers style letters of obligation, due diligence questionnaire, completion checklist and SDLT documentation. Plus, useful links to property related sites. Arden ChambersThis set specialise in housing law and related issues: the site gives access to a small collection of writings on housing topic by members of the chambers and most usefully, a complete set of the “eflashes”; accurate summaries of recent decisions of the English courts on housing law issues (also available in a free email service). Scottish Executive Private landlord informationThis government site, aimed principally at small private landlords, nonetheless contains useful and information and links regarding the law affecting private landlords and tenants. East Lothian Council
A very good collection of links to housing law resources (including neighbour disputes and ASB) and housing law articles, all in a surprising place; provided by Iain Nisbet, solicitor. |
